Operational Area Kristianstad

The operational area Kristianstad is part of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's southern region and currently includes the Kristianstad prison, located about 10 km south of Kristianstad. Currently, the prison has about 145 inmates and 120 employees. We are undergoing a significant capacity increase, and much is happening in the operational area in terms of renovations and new constructions. In a few years, the new prison Vä is expected to accommodate about 600 inmates and have 500 employees. The largest professional group is correctional officers, but we also have healthcare professionals, administrative staff, educators, production leaders, and more.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Swedish Prison and Probation Service faces a significant challenge in meeting the increased demand for more places. This presents challenges in the work but also opportunities to influence, develop, and be part of this expansive phase the authority is in. The operational area Kristianstad has decided and begun the work to build a new prison to increase capacity by 600 new places.

As an administrator, you will work with support and assistance for orders, purchases, system access, and contracts. This includes helping the operation with making purchases, assisting in obtaining correct invoice documentation, handling complaints, and conducting direct procurements.

You are accustomed to having phone contact and providing good service and support. You work in a team where you and your colleagues share responsibility for your mission and contribute to achieving goals. The role may also include other tasks within the section as well as support and phone support regarding these processes.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Completed upper secondary education in the form of a diploma or secondary school certificate
• Experience using IT as support in work
• Experience working with qualified administrative tasks within the Swedish Prison and Probation Service, e.g., ordering and purchasing
• Experience in an administrative service function where contact with both employees and managers is common
• High IT maturity and good knowledge of the Office suite
• Good ability to express oneself verbally and in writing in Swedish
• Driving license B

It is advantageous if you have:

• Knowledge of laws and agreements regarding procurement and purchasing
